You can see that these verbs don't follow any rules when they change into their past forms.

Puedes observar que estos verbos no siguen ninguna regla cuando cambian al pasado.

That's why they're called irregular verbs and you must learn them by heart.

Por eso se llaman irregulares y los tendrás que aprender de memoria.
